What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and traditional therapy differ, and they can be used separately or together to create a strong foundation for your life. Therapy helps you understand attitudes or behaviors in your past, and heal and gain closure on troubling events. Coaching looks at how your past impacts you now. It focuses on the present and moves you forward by using your strengths, gifts and inherent wisdom to guide you to a more balanced and fulfilling future. Coaches are collaborators, rather than experts. Unlike therapists, they do not diagnose mental disorders.

How does coaching work?

Coaching is conducted 2-3 times a month in person or on the phone. Sessions are between 30 minutes and an hour. Together, we schedule appointments to suit your needs. You choose what you want to work on and you lead the call. This is your life, your business?and your valuable time. As your coach, I will ask questions, make requests, and challenge you to reach your goals. E-mail support is available between sessions.

Can coaching fit my budget?
Yes. I am committed to make coaching available to everyone I possibly can and I will work with you to make it affordable.

How long do people continue coaching?
It takes a minimum of three months for clients to establish a coaching relationship and begin to see significant results. Most clients use coaching for a year or longer.

What can I expect from coaching?
Coaching helps you stay focused and inspired while you acheive your goals and dreams. As your coach I will hold you accountable to your commitments and I will help you explore new possibilities and consider different perspectives. Together we will expand your point of view so that you can decide where you want to go in your life and how to get there.

Coaching Options and Fees
I work with you to design your own personal coaching program. Fees are based on how often we will coach and the length of each session. Sessions are usually 30 or 60 minutes long, and 2 to 4 times a month. I offer packages when a block of sessions are paid in advance.
